NAME

recvstatus - Receiving Meisei GTA-45U status packet

SYNOPSIS

recvstatus port [ logfile ]

DESCRIPTION

Recvstatus receives status packet of telemeter instrument GTA-45U manufactured by Meisei Electric Co. transmitted from the GTA-45U HDLC frame packet receiving program hdlc of the DOS base by the UDP port  port, and writes in file  logfile. When  logfile is not given, it writes in the standard output. Status information on 1-byte of GTA-45U is added to all the HDLC frames, and hdlc transmits all the information. Recvstatus writes it only when its status byte is changed. An example of form to be written in  logfile is as follows:

020619.093206 recvstatus 192.168.211.16:1031 16 020619 093202 0416 ... 00

The above data show, from left, year, month, day, hour, minute and second of log; program name; IP address and port number of host that has sent status; observation point number (lower 1-byte of channel number); time stamp of status (year, month, day, hour, minute and second); channel number; and status byte. Meanings of each bit of status byte are as follows:

 Bit Meaning

   80 Power failure
   40 Battery charge down
   20 GPS RX error
   10 GPS INVALID
   08 Leap second (not used)
   04 GS CONT error
   02 INTEL COM A error
   01 SPAD error

When recvstatus is initiated without argument, brief usage is displayed.
